Interested in volunteering at our upcoming VBS this summer?

We have the opportunity to pour the love and truth of Jesus and His gospel into kids of all ages. We will be hosting hundreds of kids, from Kindergarten all the way through 6th grade. We have an incredible opportunity to hang out and minister to these kids for up to 20 hours during our VBS week.

There are several ways to get involved and serve, whether in the midst of a group of kids, or serving among the adults that make it happen, we've got room for you.

WHAT IS A CREW LEADER:

A Crew Leader has two important jobs. You love the Lord and you love children. During Scuba, you'll visit different activities with a group of three to five children. You're not in charge of preparing or teaching activities; you just get to be there and help kids.

Enjoy them as you shepherd the members of your Crew. Because your Crew is small, you'll get to know and affirm each one by asking questions, really listening, and being encouraging.

WHAT IS AN ASSISTANT CREW LEADER?

To come along side the crew leader to help and support in any ways needed.

WHAT IS A SNACK HELPER:

3-5 people a day to follow instructions from the Snack Leader in sorting, preparing, assembling, and handing out the assigned daily snack, and to help with kitchen clean-up.

WHAT IS A REGISTRATION HELPER:

Help to register walk-in kids, assign them to a crew, check kids in, or usher kids in and out of the facility.

WHAT IS A NURSERY HELPER:

Someone dedicated to serving our VBS helpers, by hanging out with, playing, and loving on the nursery age kids of our volunteers.

WHAT IS A PRESCHOOL HELPER:

The preschool volunteers are the perfect cross between a Crew Leader and our Nursery Volunteers. Our miniature preschool VBS is held and ran for the preschool aged kids of our volunteers; the kids that can do a lot of VBS stuff, but aren't quite old enough to run with our older kids. There are a lot of similarities in the activities, but completely tailored to the younger mind and age group. This is a job that not only serves these preschoolers, but also directly serves our team, allowing parents to volunteer where ever they feel called in VBS.

WHAT IS A DECORATIONS HELPER:

These are the people that put the time, energy, and effort into helping us create the grand and genuine VBS experience for these kids. Most of this is done the weeks prior to VBS, ramping up the week before VBS, and culminating in a large scale overhaul of our building the day before VBS.

WHAT IS A STAGE CONSTRUCTION HELPER:

Just like the decorations, except with a bit more knowledge and skill, in order to craft our always epic stage.
